Doing Disputes Differently

Access to justice is problematic for many businesses, organisations and individuals. Taking a dispute to court can be very time consuming, costly, slow and uncertain. Legal costs are very often disproportionate to the value of the claim. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) has many advantages over court action (litigation), but traditional face-to-face ADR remains cost-prohibitive for many disputes. Litigation, even for sizeable claims in the commercial courts, is often disproportionately expensive.

We have developed the Business ODR (BODR) fixed fee scheme, where parties do not need to instruct a lawyer, and the Commercial ODR (CODR) scheme to meet this need.

In the current climate of challenging economic conditions, court closures and social distancing, businesses need now more than ever, fast, efficient and cost-effective ways of resolving disputes.
